The Canggu, which is up to 55 cm wide, is ideal as a planting basket for large houseplants. It is extremely sturdy and features practical handles, so you can easily move your plants outdoors on dry days. The Canggu also works well as a basket for firewood, magazines, or books, for example, in the living room next to the sofa.

Canggu is available in three sizes. It is made from sustainably sourced water hyacinth, which impresses with its intense color, and is decorated with seagrass around the opening at the top.

Main material: Water hyacinth

Our baskets are made from plant fibers. They therefore smell and feel wonderfully natural.

The water hyacinth is a tropical aquatic plant that grows in rivers and lakes. Originally from South America, it has also been introduced to Southeast Asia. There, it is considered a weed because it multiplies incredibly quickly and can cover entire bodies of water with a carpet of leaves. The resulting lack of light and oxygen leads to the death of all aquatic life, which is why the plants must be removed regularly. To prepare the plants for further processing, the leaves are cut off and the thick stems are dried in the sun for three to seven days.
