Maluka is the perfect finishing touch for your boho-style decor. This ceiling light is especially well-suited to homes decorated in natural tones and featuring accessories made from plant materials.

The bell-shaped lampshade is made from flat-rolled rattan fibers – an exceptional, rarely used material, exclusively for this model in our range – woven into a sturdy metal frame. The resulting airy pattern allows plenty of light to pass through from all sides, ensuring optimal illumination of your room.

The rattan lamp is available in two different sizes. Size S is particularly compact and fits perfectly in small rooms or above your bedside table. Maluka is supplied without any additional accessories, but you can find a suitable light bulb and cable in any hardware store.

Main material: Rattan

Our lampshades are made from plant fibers. They therefore smell and feel wonderfully natural.

Rattan palms tend to grow in large quantities in dense forests, where they are considered invasive plants because they compete for space with other plants and deplete the soil of nutrients. The stems, which regenerate quickly without chemical additives, must be regularly cut and, after drying, can be used as material for furniture and baskets. This makes rattan an extremely sustainable and readily available material.

This lampshade is handmade in Bali, Indonesia.
When selecting our local producers, we prioritize fair wages and good working conditions. In the factories where we source our goods, we work exclusively with adult and experienced artisans. No harmful chemicals are used in the manufacturing process. Because all steps are done by hand, the production process generates minimal greenhouse gas emissions. We ensure all of this through regular on-site visits and ongoing personal contact with the companies.
