Sayan is a funnel-shaped lampshade made of densely woven, delicate rattan fibers. With a width of up to 60 cm, this rattan lamp is guaranteed to make a striking impression in your home.

The light shade and the woven pattern, reminiscent of traditional European wicker baskets, make the lampshade the ideal accessory for homes in the modern Scandinavian style, which creates a homely feeling with light colors and simple shapes.

Sayan is available in two different sizes and comes with a ring for attaching light bulb sockets. It is supplied without any accessories, but suitable bulbs and cables can be found in any hardware store.

Main material: Rattan

Our lampshades are made from plant fibers. They therefore smell and feel wonderfully natural.

Rattan palms tend to grow in large quantities in dense forests, where they are considered invasive plants because they compete for space with other plants and deplete the soil of nutrients. The stems, which regenerate quickly without chemical additives, must be regularly cut and, after drying, can be used as material for furniture and baskets. This makes rattan an extremely sustainable and readily available material.

This lamp is handmade in Bali, Indonesia.
When selecting our local producers, we prioritize fair wages and good working conditions. In the factories where we source our goods, we work exclusively with adult and experienced artisans. No harmful chemicals are used in the manufacturing process. Because all steps are done by hand, the production process generates minimal greenhouse gas emissions. We ensure all of this through regular on-site visits and ongoing personal contact with the companies.
