Our trays are made from plant fibers. They therefore smell and feel wonderfully natural.

Rattan typically grows in large quantities in dense forests, where it is considered an invasive plant that competes with other plants and depletes the soil of nutrients. The stems, which regenerate rapidly without chemical treatment, must be regularly cut and, after drying, can be used as a material for furniture and baskets. This makes rattan an extremely sustainable and abundant material.
