The frame of the round Bumi wall mirror is made of sturdy rattan fibers arranged radially. Experienced craftspeople must first heat the rattan intensely to make it flexible and workable. This lengthy production process results in a beautiful, eye-catching mirror.
Bumi is especially practical in your entryway: it creates a great first impression when you enter your home, and you can quickly check your hair and makeup before going out. The handy hook on the back makes it easy to mount the mirror on the wall.

Main material: Rattan
Our mirrors are made from plant fibers. They therefore smell and feel wonderfully natural.
Rattan palms tend to grow in large quantities in dense forests, where they are considered invasive plants because they compete for space with other plants and deplete the soil of nutrients. The fast-growing stems, which grow without chemical additives, must be regularly cut and, after drying, can be used as a material for furniture and baskets. This makes rattan an extremely sustainable material that is readily available.

Factory:
This mirror was handmade in Java, Indonesia.
When selecting our local producers, we prioritize fair wages and good working conditions. In the factories where we source our goods, we work exclusively with adult and experienced artisans. No harmful chemicals are used in the manufacturing process. Because all steps are done by hand, the production process generates minimal greenhouse gas emissions. We ensure all of this through regular on-site visits and ongoing personal contact with the companies.
