Bara, made from coarsely woven seagrass, immediately catches the eye with its playful appearance. The rectangular rug has soft fringes at the ends, giving it a special touch.
You can use the small rug as a runner in the hallway or bathroom to create a more relaxed atmosphere, but it's also perfect as a foot rug next to the bed. We really like using it this way, as it wakes our feet every morning with the pleasantly rough feel of seagrass.

Main material: Seagrass
Our carpets are made from plant fibers. They therefore smell and feel wonderfully natural.
What basket makers commonly refer to as "seagrass" is actually not an aquatic plant, but a small, palm-like plant that is widespread on sandy beaches in tropical Asia. The leaves of these plants, often cultivated by humans, are separated, cut into strips, dried, and then processed by hand.
Other material: raffia

Factory:
This rug is handmade in Java, Indonesia.
When selecting our local producers, we prioritize fair wages and good working conditions. In the factories where we source our goods, we work exclusively with adult and experienced artisans. No harmful chemicals are used in the manufacturing process. Because all steps are done by hand, the production process generates minimal greenhouse gas emissions. We ensure all of this through regular on-site visits and ongoing personal contact with the companies.
