Main material: Water hyacinth

Our baskets are made from plant fibers. They therefore smell and feel wonderfully natural.

The water hyacinth is a tropical aquatic plant found in rivers and streams. It originated in South America, but also in Southeast Asia. There, it thrives as a weed, multiplying incredibly quickly and covering entire bodies in a dense carpet. Insufficient light and contact kill all the aquatic life that feeds on the plants. To prepare the plants for further processing, the leaves are removed, and the thick stems are left in the sun for three to seven days.
