Main material: Water hyacinth

Our baskets are made from plant fibers. They therefore smell and feel wonderfully natural.

The water hyacinth is a tropical aquatic plant found in rivers. It originates from South America, but is also found in Southeast Asia. There, it is considered a weed because it multiplies incredibly quickly and can cover entire bodies of water with a carpet. The lack of light and contact kills all the underwater organisms that support the plant's growth. To prepare the plants for further processing, the leaves are removed, and the thick stems are left in the sun for three to seven days.
