Measuring 40 cm wide and 26 cm high, the two compartments are ideally sized for newspapers and magazines. This practical helper fits particularly well in the living room next to the sofa – or anywhere else you enjoy reading your newspaper.

Material: Rattan
Our newspaper baskets are made from plant fibers. They therefore smell and feel wonderfully natural.
Rattan palms tend to grow in large quantities in dense forests, where they are considered invasive plants because they compete for space with other plants and deplete the soil of nutrients. The stems, which regenerate rapidly without chemical additives, must be regularly cut and, after drying, can be used as a material for furniture and baskets. This makes rattan an extremely sustainable material that is readily available.

Factory:
This newspaper basket is handmade in Java, Indonesia.
When selecting our local producers, we prioritize fair wages and good working conditions. In the factories where we source our goods, we work exclusively with adult and experienced artisans. No harmful chemicals are used in the manufacturing process. Because all steps are done by hand, the production process generates minimal greenhouse gas emissions. We ensure all of this through regular on-site visits and ongoing personal contact with the companies.
